Wavehaven

We are staying at a surf hostel called wavehaven. It's right next to a cool little mini left hand point break, and for 10 bucks a night, kitchen, showers (and wireless!! finally..) its a pretty sweet deal. There's waves all over down here. On Tuesday, we took about a 30 minute hike to this place called kuma patch, which was basically a really cool isolated super long left point. Oh did I mention we were the only people we saw the entire 3 hour session, and the walk there/back?? Ridiculous. Sure there was about 5 knots of wind on it and it was a little bit sectiony, but really? Yesterday we surfed the little mini point (its called ahu ahu's). It was nuking wind but for some reason the wave was still really good. Lots of rocks though, you basically had to plan each wave to do your turns around them. Today we surfed Stent Road, which is a pretty famous wave. It's a right hand point/reef wave thats pretty epic. It was bumpy today, but still really well shaped and super powerful. Sets were rolling through up to double overhead, and we all took some beatings, but got some awesome waves out of the session. Surfed 'gravestones', a really fun left hand pointbreak this evening, and got some super good overhead waves there. Surf is supposed to be really good tomorrow, I didn't get a chance to upload pictures tonight, I will post some tomorrow!
